OUR FITNESS PROGRAMS

Here at Optimum Body Fitness, we have 2 programs that you can choose from; our high intensity group fitness class, and our advanced strength and conditioning training program. Both are group classes, to help support and push you while being surrounded by like-minded people. Every class you have a certified trainer to help coach you, watch and correct any flaws in your form to prevent injury, and to motivate you. Both programs are built to challenge you in a way to get optimal results while also incorporating techniques of balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, and power.

GROUP FITNESS CLASS

Our group fitness class is a 35 minute interval and circuit training group workout. We start with a 5 minute warm-up, followed by a description of the workout from the trainer.

We go over any modifications as well as ways to make it more challenging. Members are broken up into groups and we begin the workout. Since this is a high intensity workout we do move fast, so make sure you go at a comfortable pace for yourself and take any breaks if you need to.

This exercise style is the best way to lose weight and gain lean muscle at the same time, all while keeping the entire workout within 35 minutes. Strength training is more effective than cardio alone to help lose weight, since you are pushing your body harder, while at the same time taking minimal rest periods.

Chris Shaeffer is the Operations Manager and Trainer at Optimum Body Fitness. Chris has been involved in exercise since 2005. Playing sports his entire life, he started weightlifting in high school and training in 2011. He specializes in complex lifts, and studies every aspect of fitness to find the “whys.” “I love it, every part of fitness. Every type from sports training, to nutrition, to the gym, to just being active. Being an athlete in high school i’ve always been fascinated with what the human body is able to do. It takes dedication and hard work, there’s no other way around it.”

Vincent believes the limits we have set in our minds for our bodies are flawed. IMPORTANT

Classes begin promptly at their start times so please be mindful of coming in late.  You may be asked to wait or reschedule for another class if the workout has already begun.  Coming in early to stretch before class is recommended and remember to drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout. If it is your first day make sure to come in 15 min early to fill out a registration form.  You will NOT be allowed to workout until this is completed.
